Not much this week, as I take a break after having written The Rooted Stage series. I haven’t cut and paste that into a single document yet, and probably won’t until I decide whether I want to do some editing first. We’ll see.
I’ve been enjoying Michael Rushton’s Substack “Arms’ Length” and his series that is basically the ABCs of Arts Policy. I particularly liked his takedown of urban “arts districts,” which have always seemed to me to be more about real estate developers trying to gentrify. I also wrote about a personal project I am undertaking — it won’t be public-facing at all.
